Our History

RDE was founded in 1980 as a family business dedicated to product distribution. Over the years, the company has evolved to become one of Paraguay's leading corporations. In addition to continuing to represent and distribute international brands exclusively, it has also ventured into industry and international transportation.

Our History

1980

Founding and first exclusive representations

On July 21st, Ramírez Díaz de Espada S.A. was incorporated in Paraguay. That same year, the first exclusive representations were obtained: Higienol from Papelera del Plata S.A. and Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin.

1982

Incorporation of Molinos

The representation of Molinos Río de la Plata S.A. was obtained, expanding the food products portfolio in the Paraguayan market.

1985

Start of industrial operations

The production of converted paper was launched, marking the beginning of the company's own industrial operations.

1986

Food fractionation plant

The production of powdered milk fractionation was launched, consolidating the company's presence in the food sector.

1990

Consolidation as a major distributor

With the exclusive distribution of Merisant S.A., REDEPA, TIMBO, Viñas Concha y Toro and other leading brands, the company became one of Paraguay's largest tax contributors.

1992

Expansion into international transport

La Diligencia T.I.S.A. operations began, incorporating an international transport fleet that expanded the company's logistics capabilities.

2000

Paraguay's first wine plant

Operations began at the country's first wine production plant, featuring state-of-the-art technology and 900,000-liter storage capacity.

2021

Expansion with commercial partners

Operations with commercial partners were launched throughout Paraguay, improving national coverage and customer service.

2023

Major premium portfolio expansion

The exclusive representation of Citadelle from Cognac Ferrand was acquired. That same year, LVMH distribution was expanded to include Moët & Chandon, Chandon, Glenmorangie, Hennessy and Terrazas de los Andes.

2024

1664 representation — Carlsberg

The exclusive representation of the 1664 brand from the Carlsberg group was acquired, strengthening the premium beer portfolio in the Paraguayan market.
